us all. It helps all of us move with singleness of purpose and in so doing, in unison, we all can emerge victorious given all obstacles that might come our way.

It is the thrust of your Board of Governors to reach out not just to individual members but also to neurological societies the PNA has affiliated with - to jointly organize activities together and foster friendly collaboration and to work in concert to maximize our resources and logistics. Two years ago (if I may be allowed to borrow the words of then PNA President Dr. Raquel Alvarez), our battle cry was "Beyond Borders" as we directed our efforts to continue unifying the PNA. Now, we will no longer go beyond borders because this year, there will be no more borders to cross!

And as you browse through the pages of our website kindly prepared by the PNA Informatics and Library Committee chaired by Dr. Roland Perez, consider this website not only as a tool to disseminate information but also as an instrument to unify us all.

So, enjoy..., be informed..., and get involved for our dear PNA!

Sincerely,

GODFREY T. ROBENIOL, M.D., FPNA
                 President
Philippine Neurological Association

Welcome to the PNA website my dear colleagues in the PNA!

The world welcomed 2009 with uncertainties, fear, and anxiety. These thoughts were brought about by the global economic crisis we all have to face. With confidence I say that the PNA is ready for this. The PNA has prepared for this. Rather than dwelling in the idea that this economic crisis is an inevitable problem, the PNA looks at it as a potential challenge - to work in the midst of adversities and emerge triumphant from the most discouraging of circumstances.

Vital to an association is a venue where the members can update themselves with the activities of the association. It is through this website where the PNA leadership can reach out to the members who are in fact the most important assets of our association. Proper dissemination of information helps to unite
